Kitchen Plumbing Remodel
Built Around How You Cook

Moving the sink, adding an island or upgrading to a pot filler and prep sink? Our plumbers design and install kitchen plumbing that fits your new layout and works beautifully.

Kitchen Layouts

Kitchen Plumbing Remodel Work for New Layouts and Upgrades

A kitchen remodel touches more plumbing than most rooms. The main sink needs hot and cold supply, a properly vented drain and often a garbage disposal. The dishwasher needs its own supply and drain connection. Refrigerators need water lines for dispensers and ice makers. Gas ranges and cooktops need properly sized gas lines. Add a prep sink, pot filler, instant hot water dispenser or drinking water filter, and the plumbing plan quickly becomes the backbone of the design.

Our kitchen plumbing remodel service starts with your layout. We confirm where drains can realistically run, how islands will be vented and whether existing supply and gas lines can handle new appliances. During rough-in, we install new piping with valves and stub-outs at precise heights for your cabinets and appliances. After countertops are installed, we set the sinks, faucets, disposal and dishwasher and connect the refrigerator and range, testing everything thoroughly.

Island Sinks

Island Sinks and the Venting Challenge They Create

Every sink drain needs a vent, which lets air into the drainage system so water flows smoothly and trap seals aren’t siphoned dry. Against a wall, the vent simply rises inside the wall to the roof or connects to an existing vent stack. An island has no wall to hide a vent pipe in, so it needs another solution. That’s where planning matters, because the vent method affects what happens beneath the floor and inside the island cabinet.

Codes allow a few approaches. An island loop vent rises inside the cabinet as high as possible, loops back down and runs under the floor to connect with a vent. In many areas, an air admittance valve installed under the sink is permitted, letting air in while keeping sewer gas out. In slab homes, the drain must run beneath the concrete to reach the main line. We choose the approach your local code allows and your floor structure supports.

Benefits of a Professional Kitchen Plumbing Remodel

Professional kitchen plumbing gives you the layout you want with drains that flow freely and fixtures that perform perfectly. Precise rough-in prevents conflicts with cabinet drawers, disposals and dishwashers. Proper venting keeps island sinks draining quietly without gurgling or odors. Upgrades like pot fillers and prep sinks make cooking easier. And new piping and valves throughout the kitchen greatly reduce the risk of leaks damaging your new cabinets, countertops and floors.

Pot Fillers, Prep Sinks and Instant Hot Water

Many kitchen remodels add plumbing features that make cooking and cleanup easier. Each one needs a little planning during rough-in to work well later.

Mounted on the backsplash above the cooktop, a pot filler lets you fill heavy stockpots right on the burner instead of carrying them from the sink. It needs a cold water line run inside the wall before drywall, positioned carefully to clear the range hood and the tallest stockpots you use.

Prep sinks on islands or secondary counters need their own drain, vent and supply. Instant hot water dispensers and filtered water faucets need space under the sink and sometimes an outlet. Deciding on these features before rough-in avoids opening finished walls, backsplashes and cabinets later.

How Our Kitchen Plumbing Remodel Works

We review your kitchen design, cabinet plans and appliance specifications, then walk the space to confirm drain, vent and gas routes.

Next comes a written quote, followed by the permit application. After demolition, old piping is removed and new drains, vents, supply lines and gas lines are installed, with stub-outs placed precisely for each sink, appliance and fixture. The inspector signs off on the tested rough-in before drywall goes up.

Once cabinetry and counters are in, we set sinks, faucets, disposals, pot fillers and dispensers and connect the dishwasher, refrigerator and range. Everything is tested carefully for leaks, drainage and overall performance, final inspection is passed and your new kitchen is ready for its first meal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Kitchen Plumbing Remodel Questions Answered

Have Any Question on Your Minds?
Can I move my kitchen sink?

Usually, yes. Moving along the same wall is simplest, while islands or opposite walls need new drain routes and venting.

Common methods include an island loop vent or, where code allows, an air admittance valve installed inside the sink cabinet.

Most jurisdictions require permits when piping is added or moved. We handle permits and schedule inspections as part of the project.

If you cook large pots often, it’s convenient. It must be planned during rough-in, since the supply line runs inside the wall.

Rough-in often takes one to three days, with trim-out taking about another day once the cabinets and countertops are installed.
